PR Tank Fire Control System and Helo Missile Systems

I dont known if it had been suggested, i dont known if its an AWESOME GOODIES that is coming to P.R. 0.9, but, i have to said, if Aircraft got this stuff, THEY WILL BE AS DEADLY as it can be in real life ! Just OMG !

They are for a different mod, read the video description, it will be an addon for PR.

Combined Arms ? a Mod whitin the Mod ? Why dont we just get it in game ? As a standart. The Combat Helo would be feared as they are in real life, air support will be dramaticly increase in term of realism and effectiveness :shock: The Tank fire control is also pretty realist too, every single last gen tank has a FCS. :razz:

That would push Project Reality thousands of miles[if not milions] away from vanilla. I known PR is already freaking awesome, but whit those thing... i cant just imagine HOW GREAT that could be.

No because "It will destory the gameplay and teamwork" Although thats not my opinion.

IMO there is no reason not to implement it into PR. Combined Arms got more awesome stuff showing what can be coded with bf2 engine to make PR realistic and live up to its name.

Why every thing is based on n00b doing n00b shit huh ? It wont destroy gameplay or teamwork IMO, it would just push a step foward in term of realism ;-)

Well it depends what the objective is tbh, whether realism is the objective, or whatever it takes for teamwork is the objective.

Look, you want this in PR, I want this in PR, hell even CAS wants it in PR, but it's been made for Combined Arms and not PR for a reason. Now, Tank Fire Control has been discussed to death, top attack missiles have also been suggested.

Please use the Search Function and the *** List before posting suggestions.
Suggest something like FCS when nothing had been done can be considered as a resuggestion, but ask for information about something that had been proven feasable, already in W.I.P. is not a resuggestion, its only a information statement :wink: I would had post this in General Forum but then i'm pretty sure the post would had been deplaced to here.


Anyway i would had no probleme at all swaping from "original" P.R. to P.R.C.A. if it is the only option for having more realistic stuff. As long as i can play online whit it i'm happy :)

Nice job to those who made it. :roll:

BTW : PR still the most awesome mod i ever play, i'm just a pro-ultimate-extreme-realism fan boy' i hope they will continue to push it to the limit of what BF2E would be able to do.

Even if it is for "Combined Arms" atm (whatever that is?), I will personally track down every single one of the devs and melt their brains if they don't put this in the next official PR release.

I would really like to see the fire control system in the next release-hopefully CAS will get a vid of the javelin up sometime so we can see how that works. 8-)
Top-down attack system looks good, but the autolocking missiles aren't very contributive to teamplay. Maybe GPS guided bombs or something like that would be good, but radar guided missiles that let the jet work completely on it's own do NOT contribute to the PR gameplay style. :cry:

Well, it's not completely perfect, imo it's still a bunch of coding possibilities that Alex and CAS are trying to explore. It isn't a part of project reality, as Tirak has stated, but part of an add-on called combined arms.

What I do know is, with many of the headaches brought on with a few of the weapon systems (Radar especially, that's been a damned bugger :p ), even if the DEVs wanted to put it in pr, you'd need it perfected.

As Alex says, it's also about what you want to achieve in the mod to answer whether you want it in. If you don't/can't take a few things in the environment and make them realistic, what's the point of implementing realistic player/vehicle attributes? One of the thing combined arms has done is used maps with 2k view distances. I'm not sure how many of the systems would work in different settings, though, so you'd need to change many things of the mod to accompany it.

Not to say that it shouldn't be, but to say that it's a decision on whether/where/how to implement it.
