[Question] Lee-Enfield Iron sight
I'm having really hard time mastering Lee-Enfield in this game. If I have to name one weapon I can't use in game because I can't hit anything with it is the Lee-Enfield.
When playing this game I can easily shoot walking target at 150m using AK47. Maybe 200m if target is still. 230m if lucky. Its even more easier if I use AK74. I feel 74 has less settle time after each shot.
Also I have some trouble with Sniper. I feel that bullet drop changes with how much zoom are used when shooting. I felt with 2 zoom sniper at first zoom bullet drops certain amount, but when zoomed into next stage bullet drop is completely different. It feels more like bullet drop has to do with how many pixels on screen at the moment you fire rather than distance.
I need help with using Lee-Enfield Iron sight. As always thank you for spending your time to help with my question.

Re: [Question] Lee-Enfield Iron sight
If PR bullet drop is anything like vanilla it'll work by varying the hitbox's position above the target, but I never really noticed it much.
Got to agree with the Lee-Enfield though. It's also impossible to engage well at close-range using a bolt action rifle without a lot of skill. Ie getting a headshot first up every time.

As for the snipers. They are zeroed at 600m... So either you don't wait long enough between the shots (which is roughly 8 seconds for maximum accuracy) or you've got the eyes of a hawk engaging targets beyond 600m with only the first zoom stage
And if so, I don't have an answer.

just a small correction, the sniper takes 8 seconds to settle when you first get into position, in between shots it is three seconds, i personally wait 4roob wrote:As for the snipers. I've taken out a lot of infidels with this Lee-Enfield. I always wait as much as possible before taking the 1st shot (depends on whether or not is the target aware of my presence) because there is a very high possibility that I'll end up dead in case of a miss. Direct confrontation with any semiautomatic weapon is not recommended but as a medic you should be in a supporting role anyway.

making them bleed often has a huge effect if they dont know where the shot came from. the whole SQD has to wait for the guy to get healed and after that you can take your next shot. good to hold SQDs in a fixed position and wait for support to finally get them, hehe.

Depends on which sniper, the british one does, the lee enfield one does not.Megagoth1702 wrote:Snipers have 2 zooms? oO Whoops...

I just close my eye's when I'm using the musket.... figure it can't be any worst than trying to aim properly.
What it really needs is a bayonet that you can attach like they have in FH2!

It's not a semi it's bolt action. Stressing that point even more I guess.Claymore wrote:Direct confrontation with any semiautomatic weapon is not recommended but as a medic you should be in a supporting role anyway.

Re: [Question] Lee-Enfield Iron sight
Bolt action rifles are a very difficult weapon to use. At close quarters they are practicly useless because you only get one shot to make a direct hit at a guy who probally has 30 chances of getting a direct hit per second. However if you got Call of Duty 2, try and play some rifles only. Those servers are great for training how to use bolt action rifles tacticly and smart in game.
Always avoid getting yourself in a close quarter situation but if you do manage to get into one. Always keep your rifle leveled to where you assume the guys head will be. Even when not in action. It reduces time you have to spend to have to level your rifle to the enemies head level. Time which can be better used to correct your aim for the shot.
Automatic Rifles and Semi-Automatic rifles are not weapons where you have to worry very much about aiming. Aiming is always important and so is accuracy no matter the weapon but they always get 30 or more chances to correct there aim to hit you while a bolt action only gets one before they are dead in a close quarter situation.
Just keep your weapon leveled to a assumed head level, work on your on impulse aiming preferably by playing CoD2 Rifles Only Servers (best bolt action experience). Headshots are pretty much your only chance of taking him down before he takes you down so just work on your headshots and you should be fine.

Re: [Question] Lee-Enfield Iron sight
The way I fire the scoped version is pretty much the same as any other sniper rifle( except I fire at lesser ranges with enfield).
With a normal sniper rifle you would aim at the tip of the head to get a one shot kill. With Lee-Enfield aim a bit higher, works like a charm up to 200m range.
Practice a bit and you will get a hang of it.

I'll try this out and report my success.
I love Sean Bean so this shouldn't be a problem for me imagining I'm Sharpe.
A bayonet would be awesome also.
Apparently it has been firing the wrong projectile and it will be fixed with the new patch.

I am awesome with the enfield. I can hit almost anything with it. Maybe not a head shot, but still hit them, at close and LONG ranges.
Nothing like a kill at 300m with iron sights.

Re: [Question] Lee-Enfield Iron sight
on topic:the iron sight lee enfield is indeed hard to do anything with.my advice would be to stay out of combat and just focus on healing and use the gun as self defence only.
being a medic is not about kills anyways.
as for scoped just use as a normal sniper rifle but just compensate for its lameness by aiming higher than you would any other sniper rifle

The gun must have clipped through the piller... Surely the round didn't penetrate, I've never seen that before.
