Isn that up to the soldier if he want one or not. But we always have ironsight and or redot and ACOG, so you have long distance fighting guns and more CQB guns.

The M68/Eotech CCO's are commonly used by the USMC. There's tons of factors that come into play, availability, user's preference, user's own purchases.

i didn't want to start another thread on this, but it occured to me that perhaps a choice in sites while in game might be usefull. what i mean, is it possible to "equip" your site to suit your situation? as in having it in your weapon / gear option? i have found that there are many times in game that i wish i had an iron site option. that being said i have no idea how difficult it would be under fire to do this sort of thing in real life. any how just a thought.

not quite sure i understand you here. yes, you can pick if you want an iron sight or scoped rifle everytime you spawn, but if you are infering that you would like to be able to switch on the fly, well i dont think thats very realistic. i highly doubt soldiers just switch scopes i think theres factors to consider such as scope calibration and cost of having 2 scopes for every soldier etc. plus it would pretty much make every soldier a super soldier, with the ability to engage both long and short distances. this is why you need to be in a well equipped squad, with guys that have red dots and guys with acogs. this is how it is in real life.

its too bad though we cant use the iron sights that are on top of the acog.
