Heavy Machine gun tripod
I was wondering if this is possiable and dnt no if this been sugested before, in terms of the machine gun tripod weather it would be possiable to deploy the tripod standing up wen ur for example in a bunker facing out a window and in postion of that nature ie in other bunkers were the tripod could possiably be deployed as to have a ar riffle its not very effective in these typical positions, as i said dnt no if this has been suggested before any feed back would be good.

Re: Heavy Machine gun tripod
Is this about tripod mounted heavy machine guns (ie Kord, M2, etc) deployed in sandbagged positions or the Bipod equipped weapons of the Automatic rifleman kit?
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

I think he is trying to suggest that you should be able to deploy your AR with its bipod on a surface, such as a window ledge or sandbag wall, whilst standing/crouching.[R-MOD]Bob_Marley wrote:Is this about tripod mounted heavy machine guns (ie Kord, M2, etc) deployed in sandbagged positions or the Bipod equipped weapons of the Automatic rifleman kit?
Either way its a resuggestion and has already been fixed anyway.

What about the suggestion of having say, a deployable 50. with tripod that can be requested from the main base, maybe 2 per team for conventional armys, set it down, takes say 20-30 secs to deploy, maybe longer.

There's a reason this is called Project Reality...IRL we can't have infantry running around with an M2 .50 cal which weights 60 kilos fully loaded with tripod...it's why we have firebases and buildable .50 calsWhat about the suggestion of having say, a deployable 50. with tripod that can be requested from the main base, maybe 2 per team for conventional armys, set it down, takes say 20-30 secs to deploy, maybe longer.

Re: Heavy Machine gun tripod
Who is we? and the army does carry them around, 3 man teams one carry's the gun and barrel one carry's the Tripod and another carry's ammo. I am sure they don't do it all the time but its possible and is done just like back in ww2 they had portable machine gun teams in the same fashion. I doubt PR with the 64 limit would be a candidate for portable m2 teams taking 3 people off the field just to set up a machine gun.SkaterCrush wrote:There's a reason this is called Project Reality...IRL we can't have infantry running around with an M2 .50 cal which weights 60 kilos fully loaded with tripod...it's why we have firebases and buildable .50 cals
And like said before the next version deployable weapons will be able to be fired from any position.

And I don't think its within engine capabilities to have a 3 man team carrying the same weapon...you could have 3 players throw in a special "item" to construct it or something but I'd rather have 3 7.62mm saws than 1 .50 cal...eh the US Armed Forces need to make a new .50 cal MG ....the M2 is almost 90 years old (well the basic design)
