Wounded dropping kits

Post by herrwizo »

Hello to everyone on PR forums, my very first post here. This suggestion actually is not a very significant one, but I'd like to hear other people's thoughts about it.

I'd personally like to remove kit dropping by wounded people. They should be able to keep it if medic revives them (even seconds before actual death). People should, however, drop their kits once they actually die, and then be unable to pick that dropped kit again (for them, this kit would have some kind of 'unavailable' marker above it, or something, to let them know they can't pick it up). However, other people should be able to pick up that kit.

I'm telling this because currently the following scenario is possible:

You run around with HAT kit and get shot. You realise that you should have taken officers kit in the first place. You tell your medic not to revive you for a minute until your kit dissapears or someone picks it up. Meanwhile, you choose an officers kit in menu. After you are revived, you'll have an officers kit. This is highly unrealistic, IMO. What do you people think?

a wounded person takes around 30-40 seconds to heal if there are no delays. if there is an APC bearing down on you and the AT was on the wounded guy...your done whereas IRL you could grab the fallen man's AT weapon.

Yes, it can be exploited, but it would be preferable that kits remain on the round for 2mins or so rather than 30 seconds to stop that, otherwise leave as is.

IIRC this kit dropping behaviour comes directly from BF2 game engine and modders can't remove nor alter it.

This has been addressed already by the DEVs...

You may lock this now

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth
