Make Specialist Limited Squad Kit

Okay so i was just thinking last night about some posts i have put out there about the specialist kit. so some ideas i was thinking about were how can you make the game a little more realistic.

thaughts
1 Make specialist kits limited to 1 per squad
2 Give specialists ability to laser target ( also give tanks ability to see laser targets )
3 Give specialists 1 extra incindeary granade ( or make 2 classes of specialists one for AAS and another for Insergency maps.
4 possibly issue a different weapon such as a short range mp5 or something (non scoped)

and some extra ideas i had were
Give specialists 1 Door breecher on AAS maps or 1 self detonating claymore on Insergency maps for defence and protection.

Comment what do you think?

no SL has it...why need 2? Specialist has no comms, and there is an active thread for the 2nd suggestion

no, resuggestion, unrealistic

claymores are a resuggestoin
I like specialists only for the shotgun, you don't generally need more than one anyway

I wouldn't mind seeing the specialist become a spawnable limited kit as is. If we're talking load-out, lose the trip flare, gain some buckshot (after fixing it of course.)

Yea specialist slug shots are usless buck would be nice :L and yea tripflares gotta go

bah, I'd rather he had grenades anda shotgun.

slug is for breaching...thats the point surely?

I would like to see it as a limited request kit. A squad cut off from the main force and logistics doesn't deserve to get unlimited amounts of rope from their rally point.

If its going to be argued that it doesn't represent actual rope, rather the ability to gain access to roof tops through the buildings which are not enterable in-game. Fine, i'll accept that when we get an armed insurgent kit with a rope.

limited one per squad is all i can agree on. All the others a resudjests or dont make sense to me.

The thing is, if you limit it, you'd have to buff up the class, because they barely have anything unique about them besides the shotgun which is certainly fun, but not as useful as something like a grenadier or LMG

why does everyone think the shotgun is there for fun? its there for blowing doors and gates and arresting insurgents

they have the grappling hook. the hook is about as important a piece of equipment that a squad can have on a city map. on city maps, i always want one in my squads.

i would be in favor of making the specialist requestable from the crate because the hook is so powerful, but i dont think it's that much of a problem as is. i dont really think it needs to be limited because a squad gains very little advantage from adding more hooks and shotguns to the squad (one is enough most of the time). i, pesonally, would always choose extra ammo than an extra hook, but i could see some maps that could benefit from two specialists (korengal, or the iraqi insurgent maps).

You don't need extra hooks XD you just pick it back up after your done using it. Make it possible to go into every building in PR and I'll agree with you on the first point.

hehe...i know that! i was talking about getting extra hooks by bringing more specialists.
