I am getting fed up recently of people doing it deliberately, or not thinking properly, where the big red crosses on mines and clays are attracting team members into killing themselves, whether by accident or on purpose, then they punish you!!!!!
The worst part of this situation is you don't know who has punished you, which I believe is leading to people deliberately doing it to remove players off servers with kicks.
This is not making me happy in the few times now it has occurred, especially when you type asking who has punished you and no one has the guts to open their mouth and say it was them.
This loophole in the game could cause major problems with players satisfaction if certain people decide they want to harrass another player for whatever reason.
Therefore the answer must be to show FF death messages to be able to complain to server admins about irresponsible players or remove punishments from FF clays and mines.
Surely people want engineers in the game? laying mines to stop the armour getting up close and personal and raping people? No one is really picking AT units until they absolutely have to due to lack of decent personal weapon, so the engineer is becoming a useful class to use in the Mod.

[R-MOD]Mongolian Dude: AH man, sarcasm is so hard to get across the web, even if we are both british
[R-DEV]Jaymz: That has to be...the most epic response to a welcome thread I have ever seen. [R-CON]Mr.D ladies and gentlemen!

The best answer to this i can give you right now is to play on a decently admined server and also i think you are being a bit paranoid. Of course there is a simple soloution stay away from mines and tell others to stay away also. When a person dies from ff they get a longer spawn time anyway so eventually they will realize that doing this is not a good idea.

Servers can display a message of PlayerX has y forgives and z punishes,MrD wrote:The worst part of this situation is you don't know who has punished you, which I believe is leading to people deliberately doing it to remove players off servers with kicks.
I get incredibly annoyed with this - and think that punishing etc should just be taken off.MrD wrote: This is not making me happy in the few times now it has occurred, especially when you type asking who has punished you and no one has the guts to open their mouth and say it was them.

Ah you said to remove it! The servers, as said above, can display messages.MrD wrote: Therefore the answer must be to show FF death messages to be able to complain to server admins about irresponsible players or remove punishments from FF clays and mines.
Very good post - and I'm sure there are a lot of people who agree. But as far as I know its the server admins who need to look at this...

FF on mines is staying as part of PR. We are looking at a better TK system. There is one in the latest version of BF2CC that is also available to modders. We might incorporate it into PR, but we'd also encourage server admins to look at BF2CC's latest version and the much improved TK system in there.
