I am hopeless. I have gotte nthe jist of the sniper rifle and i am having no trouble at all with wiping enemies from 600+ metres with it.. but i seem to struggle with the assault rifles anything over 80 metres.
I stay completely still and wait like 3 seconds before i engage and wait 1-2 seconds between single shots.. but i still seem to be wiped out before i can finish them
is their a strategy i need to stick to help me improve?
ty
and also, can someone explain how i use the acog+saw as well?

Don't wait so long between shots. If the situation allows, keep shooting - suppress them - and keep moving to better cover when you're sure you won't get shot in transit. If you find cover and get to 40 meters instead of 80, you'll have a better chance of wasting the enemy with automatic fire.
The same applies at longer ranges: keep their head down, and make sure you have cover. More rounds mean a greater probability of hitting the target.

Assault rifles are never completely accurate if you're firing while standing. The deviation's much better while crouching or prone (same deviation value), so try changing your stance for medium-range targets.
There's really not much more you can be doing wrong.
