Not able to use VoIP

Hello Again,
I was playing muttrah today and waiting for the cobra to spawn to gun, I tried to press B but I didnt see the marker that shows that I am talking so I just talked and asked my squad if they can hear me, but they dont, Anyway this happened to me a few months ago, and the only way to fix it is to restart the game.
I have went to the audio settings and they were ok, I also went to the controls and searched for the PTT (Push To Talk) And it was set as B, I tried to change it but the problem didnt go, I tried to rejoin the server but it didnt go either.
So I didn't want to get out of the game, I just waited for the round to restart then got out and fixed the problem.

Did you try pressing tab, right click to activate mouse and click manage, then mute and unmute yourself? That seems to work most of the time.

I've had that happen more than once, its some type of bug. One time, after literally pressing a bunch of buttons and then playing as usual my VOIP button suddenly started working again. Strange. Other then that the only fix I've found is completely exiting the game and then starting it again...

same problem here. I have it every now and then. suddenly my voip doesn't work anymore by no obvious reasons. Problem exists since I started playing PR @ v. 7.x

commonly called: voip bug. many people told me to hold down the "b" button for 2mins or mute/unmute in the settings. but nothing worked for me exept restarting the game.

Same as me, I restarted the game.

It was hard to gun in the cobra without VoIP!!!

I'm having the same problem, except nothing is fixing this. I've restarted the game numerous times, and the PC too. When I press the voip key, nothing happens.

Also, when I try the mute/un-mute thing, it does nothing.

Any other ideas? I can play PR without VOIP...

erm i no a few ppl who have had this and have advised them to download the latest sound drivers they have done this and havent had the problem since this is for vista and xp give it ago and see wat happens

Use the search engine I already posted a fix, go to Start > Run > DXDIAG go under sound tab and change sound accelerator to basic and it should work.

i've been getting mic probs with voip, some times i have no speach at all other times if i leave and rejoin the squad i get about 10 secs then i'm back to mute

most inconvenient when i'm the tank driver, i'm screaming tank left 270 range 230 and the gunner says "your mic's dead bond"
as you can guess death comes with swift wings

install the latest sound drivers for your sound card I have had a few ppl who had this problem they did this and no problem
