Just got new PC!! Microphone issue

Hey fellas- I finally just stepped up my game and bought a nice new PC (Can't wait to play Fallujahwithout lag.)


1 question, when installing BF2 I can't seem to get the microphone recognised. Its on and configured in VISTA- but BF2 does not seem to hear me.

Any suggestions?

Did you buy a sound card such as x-fi sound blaster? If so, make sure the mic is plugged into that. If your using a onboard sound card such as real-tec, open the real tec control panel and it can tell you where you need to plug the mic in.

damnit- now I can't get PR to run. Something about PR.exe is not working. I have this problem on last PC and somehow fixed it (no clue what I did.)

How the hell did this pass testing? Any easy fix?
