Inadequete O/S privleges PB

So after all the troubles I have today with my new PC I finally get everything to work. But once the map loads up and I "join a squad" I get kicked by PB for "Inadequete O/S privelages"

I did a search with that but nothing came up.


PLEASE HELP--so close to playing on my new PC

What OS are you running?

Also, needing a drink isnt going to get you helped any quicker....

sorry guys. So- through all the searching I figured out I needed to run game as Administrator. So everything works fine.

But now.....

I am getting huge lag spikes (pinging at 700+!!!) and then eventually get kicked from server for Punkbuster Error "This PR Server requires (A1342 c2.194) Error Loading pbci

Any ideas? I'm so close I can taste it. I'm running a Dell XPS with Vista 64

(ps I edited that comment to "I need a drink" because I went on a rant cursing up a storm.)

and have you updated PB at all with pbsetup since your install?

You need to get a tool called pbsetup.exe to manually update your punkbuster

I was going to, but the link is nothing but a blank page today. (am i wrong?)

I just submitted a ticket to PB. Can you send me the link for the DL because the one I went to is nothing but a white blank page? haha (7 hours of misery.)

you can also get PB setup from PB.s main website also read the sticky posts above thay awnser most of the basic stuff needed to get PR up and running iv had nearly all problems listed here over the years and reading those solves allmost all of them
