PR .86/PRSP .85 CTD at 14% Load

I think those are the correct version numbers, but if not, than whatever the latest versions are (I know the latest SP is older than the latest MP)

Anyway, a few days ago I installed PR .86, and it worked fine, but after successfully running it, I realized was MP only (My PC's connection is having problems, otherwise I'd probably only do MP), so I DL/installed PRSP, ran it, and it worked fine. Yesterday I went to play it again, and when it got to 14%, CTD. And no error message. I've done research and couldn't seem to find anyone else that had a problem before 100%, but I still attempted to fix, and I reinstalled (probably incorrectly-I just deleted the folders from the battlefield 2/mods folder and ran a registry cleaner-then reinstalled using the std. installer). The one thing I didn't try is changing the target path thing, because I have no clue how (although it probably only applies to using shortcuts anyway, and I tried launching the .exe from the mod's folder). Anyway, thanks in advance.

to get an error msg from bf2 you can start it in windowed mode:
change your link's parameters to "+fullscreen 0"
try reproducing the error and
then google the error message you get from bf2

Finally got to trying that, and to no luck. The window just disappeared and that was that. Perhaps re-downloading a new installer package (err... 4 new installer packages) will help, because the PR .86 map installer gave me some error for some maps (something to do with client.zip under the specific map, and error copying due to corrupt file...), and I've found that the game works on some maps.
