Hello, this is what i made out of 6855 tri's and some pixels for new textures.
I am currently working on the textures, this is why they look strange on some parts

. The model is aready unwrapped so I hope i can finish the texture part soon and start adding some details. I am aiming on 7,5k tris for the finished model.
It is possible to enter the building from both sides of the ground floor, a stair leads to the first floor from where you can enter the roof over another stair in one of the rooms.

have you read my tut on texture palettes? I hope you are not UVing this in the normal way and using as many vBF2 and PR static textures as possible instead of making 100% unique textures just for this one building...
Other than that it looks good so far.

Yes, I am working with a new, custom texture palette. And I am very familiar with bf2's texturing/uvw-ing technique so everything should be fine. I am very bored looking always on the same vanilla textures, so i decided to make a new palette that can be used for other new statics that I am maybe creating in future.
I am currently using 1x 256x2048 as Detailtexture with normalmap
1x 512x1024 for Colortextures and I am also planning 1 additional 512x1024 texture for Details and new crack and dirttextures as well. I hope its not to much filesize but i don't think it will be more than 5MB of textures for the whole building.
Thanks for all replies, I really love this forums already 2 pages since my first post!

yep that's all good, just make sure you use that palette for lots of other statics to make it worth while

some bits look really nice and some bits look really odd. I think it might be your colour textures being really stretched and pixilated in some places thou unsure.

Which part of the building do you mean? I don't like the colortexture very much either, its the actually texture i spent the most time with. The brown part is not stretched, there is a long dark part on the bottom that makes it look like its stretched - I'll try to change this!
I have some strange overlapping lightmap uvw's on some parts of the building, you have probably noticed them on the spiky-things ontop of the wall. Its not the colortexture.

Sorry for doublepost, but here is another small update:

looking better. Its mainly your grayish white colour texture that is making it look odd in some places I think. I would try and go for a slightly darker texture and see what that is like.
I would also look into going about adding some damage to some of your bricks etc. I've found a really easy and effective way of doing this is by using the chamfer tool on the edges and corners (ie, on individual verts) of bricks and it can make the edges look so much more natrual
This aint the best example but on the corner of this wall support for my afghan bridge you can just see some corners that I've done this too:
If you went over many of your bricks on your buildings, epically the ones on the roof and your archways you would really add some detail in there. Just dont go overboard as this will eat up a bunch of polys.
Also on the bottom support of your archway, looks like your stone texture is a bit warped on that angle bit.
