Ok I forgot one main fundamental thing 
- Removing Anything having to do with Bf2. Specifically, I did not remove the Bf2 info located in my documents and Settings area under my user name or admin area thing. its in the My Documents area. 
I did all the unistall everything ... remove the shortcusts .. delete the directories in EA Games Folder. But I kept forgetting to remove the bf2 info in the My Documents area. I got error messages that are discussed on here the x3041 message and the Particles error and other stuff... then I finally remembered after downloading it again since one fix was to get a non corrupted download .. which I didnt need
my download was fine .. what I needed to do was to delete the stuff in the my documents area then when I reinstalled the files .. bf2 ... 1.41 and core and client ... which previously didnt work now it worked.. 
THEN, I had to fix punkbuster...
ops: use of course the pbsetup thing But !!! it may not work if you have a certain type of firewall like I do so one must then manually download the necessary pb files in other words according to the pb instructions you save them manually to the Correct !!! place on your harddrive in the pb folder .. the pb folder located in bf2.. anyway the place to get the files to manually download the pb files is .. This is at evenbalance its hard to find this webadd sort of this provides one with the actual files to copy to ones harddrive manually has instructions read them .. after I did this it finally worked...
Before doing all of this (deleting bf2 from documents and settings ) I was getting all kinds of gliches when trying to start pr after having unistalled everything and reinstalling it. All kinds of error messages ..
