Hello, i recently downloaded project reality 0.86 and created a local server. when i got ingame i was shocked by how slow the gameplay was. i was getting 7-18 frames per second. a few months ago when i used this same machine, i was playing on med- high with 30-42 frames per second.
my computer is a HP laptop, and thse are the specifications
Windows vista 64 bit
4.00 gb ram
Ati radeon HD 3200 1.9 gb shared video ram
amd turion X2 ultra 2.10 GHz
and a 125 gb hard rive.
i thought these specifications would be more than enough to run project reality, yet im getting 2-18 frames per second. i have tried de fraging my computer, running no other programs but project reality and i have keept in thoguhts reinstalling windows vista. i went to
Can You Run It? Powered by System Requirements Lab and it showed that i could run this game perfectly. please some one give me some advice to make my computer run this game like it should, thank you in advanced.
EXTREME Lag, slow gameplay.

Keep in mind Summers here and
I've read 80% of CTD or low frame rates are caused by overheating video card issues,
so rule out overheating by getting a small block of dry ice wrapped in paper. Set your laptop on top while you play a few rounds. If that helps buy a laptop cooler. You can get a cheep one online like this one from computer geeks
for only $6.99US with free shipping what's not to like?
Good luck

Re: EXTREME Lag, slow gameplay.
well this may help, it might not though, try downloading Windows Vista Anti Lag, it might help so give it a try. It helped me when i kept on disconnecting from the servers and has slightly improved the frames per second. Heres the link: Vista Anti-Lag Software Informer: Latest version download, news and info about this Codecase.de program.
Hope it helps and good luck.

I'm all for innovation but how many people get access to dry ice on a regular basis?

Re: EXTREME Lag, slow gameplay.
Could be a number of things.
Start by checking all your background tasks, make sure there are none taking up large amounts of memory etc and kill any that are not necessary. Defrag your hard drive. Also, what settings are you playing at? off the top of my head for those specs I would say mostly medium and some lows will give you an acceptable FPS.
Another thing, it might be worth getting hold of some compressed air and giving the air vents a blast.

Yes. Get 3-4 GBs or more depending on your motherboard and operating system (64-bit).dadit2 wrote:I have like...Not even one GB of RAM. My game lags like FUCK To! what should I do? If I get more will it help?
