Follower or a Leader?

Post by Logaritm »

SO ARE YOU A MAN THAT LIKES TO FOLLOW ORDERS OR A MAN THAT LIKES TO GIVE ORDERS?

If you think your a leader do you prefer to be a Squad leader or a Commander?

I'm trying to learn how to be a commander at the moment, and i think it will be really fun when i get the hang of it

I take pride in being one of the guys who can get ordered/asked to do just about anything at just about anytime and usually get pretty good results.

I'd love to get better at being an on the fly squad leader, but its just hard to get out of that "Tell me what you need done and give me the men to do it" attitude of that "second in command" position.

But perhaps this could be helped if I ever had to serve under a strong in your face commander. If a commander was saying "go cap here" then thats what Id do.

But personally for me, its hard to look at a map, figure out which squads I can trust to get their objectives, and move elsewhere accordingly.

Set out to cap somewhere else assuming my other squads could defend only to find we lost all the way to main as I sit in the cap zone of a forward CP too many times ;)

I squad lead sometimes, but often I end up wishing I hadn't because the medic isn't up to Waldo standards.

The best leaders know how to follow. The best followers should be ready to lead when called upon.

Both, what usually happens is I join a squad to follow and they rotate out until I'm the leader...

The biggest benefit of leading is that I go where I want, when I want and get to tell people what to do so that the objective is actually taken.

I like giving commands or taking good commands

if the latter isn't happening, I do the former

I like squad leading, but alot of the time my squad just kinda do their own thing, after me asking them nicely to return to formation, so i just tend to join a squad, and i don't find it in me to kick someone to make room, unless i don't like a person in my squad ^^

If there is an open squad available with a good SL and teamwork, then I join it.

If there isn't, or no one wants to step up, I normally do it.

The best PR players, or Battlefield players in general are the ones that are flexible and are able to do any class or position when nessesary.

That's also why I always seem to be the only player that plays medic...

I usually lead squads, if there arent any teamwork/voip squads open or there are guys unassigned because of not having enough squads made. im usually the SL who kick's the guys out who dont dont listen and wonder of in the other side of the map all the time demanding some sort of obedience and i most times get good results in taking objectives etc.

the worst thing i find in myself when playing as a norm. squad guy is that i give the SL ideas what to do... like if he's telling his plan of attack and its "not that smart" in a way that we might get wiped out and there are far more better ways of doing the same thing i usually tell him.. i think inside hes a bit annoyed because i personally have the same feeling of "not standing up for the role"- kinda feeling when a lower guy tells you what you should do.. but i often listen to the Commander on his ideas without question.

Im not yet ready to step in the big shoes of the CO. i think its a bit to much of responsibility. like in charge of the whole team in big servers. just seems too much!
