EDIT: Fixed it, while i was de-cluttering my computer's documents and desktop, etc, i put the 'Battlefield 2' file in 'My Documents' into a larger file to de-clutter, but the game then lost track of it or something, so i simply moved it back into 'My Documents' and it starts up fine.

yes that error is because your profiles directory is in an unknown location.
