Integrated Warfighter System
I was wondering if you could remodel the U.S. Soldiers with the IWS gear instead of the stuff they have now

Cause he said we haven't adopted the IWS true but neither have we adopted the JSF I'm trying to tell him this game takes place in the near future the IWS comes out in 2010 I believe. I was using the JSF as an example of one things on bf2 we haven't adopted yet I think thats the only vehicle haven't on bf2 we haven't adopted yet

It's going to cost billions to outfit the US Military with the IWS, and it will take a lot of time. The US Military may not even adopt it after it's finished production.Tacticsniper815 wrote:Cause he said we haven't adopted the IWS true but neither have we adopted the JSF I'm trying to tell him this game takes place in the near future the IWS comes out in 2010 I believe

Well that would require so much modelling, there is trhe FIST program, and the Warfighter one.
Much of the equiptment would be cool, but would not improve gameplay.
So much EXTRA coding and modelign would be spent trying make the US, UK marines and Chinese have 2012 + working equiptment.
We dont even know properly what they will or not have = unrealistic.
The game engine is so limited as well, why bother. I say when a game with a decent engine comes out, make a mod with UK soldier usng FIST and make sure the orgninal game has complete dynamic lighting, destructable enviroments and 2 km draw distance!!!!! ring any bells...if not...

Yes, lets give the US something more to their already mounting ammount of new gear and screw over the other factions. And seriously, this game was never meant to be played like what you are thinking of which is Ghost Recon/ GRAW.
This is basically a currently conflict a couple years in the future, but still modern because of the use of all current weapons with a few new weapons thrown in.

I doubt it takes place in 2004. I think more like this year, 2006 or early 2007. Then again it comes down to the devs which really demands an official storyline otherwise we end up with topics like these.
Anyhow, I was under the impression that it was the U.S Army not the U.S Marines who were interested in this project. In fact ain't it the Army who has been developing this project. I haven't seen too many things about the USMC being interested in the Land Warrior program.

Yeah it is an army project I already knew this. I made this suggestion cause someone made a rumor that the U.S. Army were going to be put in the modTerranova wrote:I doubt it takes place in 2004.
