VOIP won't stay enabled
When I enable VOIP in options and apply it, it turns back off as soon as I leave audio options. I've tried the turning audio to basic trick, but that didn't work.

If your running Vista make sure you have 'mike boost' checked on in your system audio setup.
Good luck

I'm using XP. I've heard it has something to do with having built in sound on your mobo.

Re: VOIP won't stay enabled
Ok I had this problem as well. I had to get a new headset with mic and I made sure that it had USB hookup. Thats exactly what fixed it for me. I also had onboard sound and tried every single option known to man to fix it. It was so nice once I got it to work and it made PR a much better game. Btw I got the Fatal1ty brand headset, I hope that helps.

Re: VOIP won't stay enabled
You could try forcing it...open * Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001\Audio.con, set the first line to:
AudioSettings.setVoipEnabled 1
and then right click Audio.con, click Properties, and click "Read-only."
AudioSettings.setVoipEnabled 1
and then right click Audio.con, click Properties, and click "Read-only."
