4 Real Questions

Post by SharpShooter13971 »

1. So i'm downloading the mod right now Core, Levels, Then what? (Still downloading Core)

2. What are the basics of this mod that I should know?

3. I'm mainley a sniper, so whats different? (Besides everything)

4. Are there training missions? Like Flight, Rifle, Explosives, etc. Traning missions. (Like when you just start out with Battlefield and that commander voice tells you the controls and basics, except on an empty battlefield telling you what to do to pass the training.)

5. Are you going to kill me for making you answer these questions?

.

After you finish installing 'Levels' you should have a PR manual installed in the 'read me' folder inside the PR mod folder.
The best advice I can give you is read it from front to back first, before you jump on a training/pub server.
Path in Vista:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\readme\PR_Manual
Path in XP:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\readme\PR_Manual

Snipers are best used in 2 to 3 man squads.
You will need a spotter/hook man (the 'hook' is the rope and grappling hook) to reach roof tops etc. and it is always good to have a medic/ extra set of 'eyes' watching your back. (no claymores but the hook man has 2 smoke trip flairs)

The sniper has a laser designator (GLTD = ground laser target designator) as well as a long gun ( the gun will take 6 sec, to 'settle in' for accurate shooting at first, then 2-3 as long as you don't switch stance.IE: going from prone to crouch. If you switch you will need to wait 6 more sec. for accurate shooting.
Best used to keep commander informed of troop moments and calling in air strikes while remaining hidden (your not gonna sit up on a hill killing everything sight. Once they know a sniper is working the area they will hunt you down ASAP, so stay hidden if you want to live long enough to help your team!
The only shots you should be risking are squad leaders and medics with heavy AT and AA next on the list.

PS everyone dislikes snipers so don't expect to win any popularity contests playing that kit as just a headhunter after kills.
