Need immidiate help.... unusual mic problems

I have started a thread on this on the tech side, but nobody has actually taken a stab at helping me, im hoping more ppl will notice it here, so i can maybe get a solution.

I am seriously confused as it just happened after the 0.87 switch. I have digged on the net, and from the thousands of mic problems, the few people who had a similar issue, never got a solution to their problem.

Im kinda freaking out, i cant play PR without a mic and still enjoy it as much as i used to...

have u checked on bf2 settings to see if you mic is muted on Audio options?

yep. Its all good, even when it craps out i go there and the settings are all correct.

It worked beautifully before.... Only after the 0.87 switch did it start acting up.

The ONLY thing iv changed on my PC, is my speakers. I couldnt bring my good ones from home so i bought some crappy ones, aside from that, my PC is in the same operating status as it was for the past 2 years with no mic problems.

hmm maybe try removing them speakers then and try again mate?
is it a headset u use or mic on its own?

Just the mic. Its USB, and i just hook it up to my tower, and bam, never a problem.

does it only not work in PR? Or is it any program or the windows itself? (also, try with vBF2). If it's only BF2, that's an EA problem. Also, it CAN be a coincidence;;;

Il have to try vBF2, but iv never had a problem with it before... dunno why now it happens....

I did what was suggested, to delete the BF2 folder, and then start up vBF2 to make a PF, and do it all over again, and yes, i was able to play a game. Then, i joined PR server, and everything was looking peachy, till, it pooped out on me again...

having unusual problems myself--every couple games my mic is ok, then the next game it sounds like I am under water--then a few more games and it sounds fine. I am starting to wonder if it is the individual server settings since I am not changing anything on my end?

you think you have unusual mic problems? mine turned into a radio...dont ask me how because i have no clue. all i know is my mic is now picking up the same transmissions as my upstairs radio.

is your mic old? my mic was starting to work like **** and then worked good on and off like this for days. then i bought a new mic and it works perfectly now. maybe u need a new mic?

Yeah, if thats whats going on then it might be ur mic.
