Servers having lists of registered chopper pilots
After playing PR last night and being killed in choppers by three different pilots just due to the fact that they couldnt land properly i wondered if ther was a way round having to use these useless pilots. One idea that i had was that on a properly adminned server you could ask people who thought they were good chopper pilots to sign up on some sort of list and then they could have priority over the choppers. Of course if they sign up and they're rubbish then you can just remove them. Because im just getting sick of people crashing em and wasting tickets because they cant fly. I'm not sure how well this would work if at all so just some thoughts about this one.

Or, you could quickly and politely give them some advice in Teamchat to go practice their chopper skills in a training server or in a locally-hosted server, and if the server has a rule against wasting assets you could let them know that endlessly crashing choppers might get them kicked.
Both of those are far quicker, simpler, and easier to manage than some kind of approved pilot list. Which also misses one of the great things about online play - that you're able to change server at the drop of the hat. Why should I get kicked from a server I've just joined for getting into a chopper (when I'm a perfectly safe chopper pilot, often going rounds without loosing a single bird) simply because my name isn't on the Elite List for that server?
Besides which, it's entirely up to server admins how they decide people should get assets. This forum is for suggestions to improve PR that can be made by the Devs, not to suggest server administration policies.

Not to mention the fact that this is a re-suggestion

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
