Crashes Without Error Report

Post by WhiteTiger »

Hello, I have been having some issues with Project Reality crashing mid game and when the map changes.

When I crash to desktop, it does not give me any error. Just a simple crash.

I have tried it on multiple servers and it does the same thing. I have heard that setting it on medium textures helps, but I would like to know of a fix so I dont have to do that.

I have done the following things:
-Patched BF2 to 1.5
-Installed the 0.87 core, levels, and patch
-installed the new RendDX9x2.dll
-updated with punkbuster's manual updater.

I have all my settings set to high with 8xAA and resolution 1680x1050.

My system specs are as follows.

GPU- XFX GTX260 Core 216 Black Edition
CPU- Intel Core2Duo E8500 @3.16GHz
RAM- OCZ DDR2 800 4gigs
PSU- 750W Corsair

Thank you for any help

Sorry to be picky, but medium textures are unacceptable.

I have done this fix.

Will try it out tonight and see what happens.

i have in different threads/post concerning this problem that changing from high to medium does not actually influence the visual texture quality - have you at least tried it before rejecting this workaround?
