New to PR hi all
Hello all...yup im new to PR..but played BF2 for quite some time (juz for fun), im tired playing BF2 previously coz of pple that are sooooo "expert" in BF2 keeps calling noob to ppl like me that join the game for entertainment.
Switch to OFP (operation flash point) i like the concept but my heart is strong with BF2...stumble upon some websites n forums talking about PR and the ppl in it..mature and respectful to others..for that im back to BF2 and eager to start playing PR wif all of you..
Sooooo i seek anybody advice where do i start? what should i do to be trained? and all those newbie need to know 1st thingy...thx in advance....

Hello and welcome =)
I suggest you start by reading manual and getting headset microfon so you can use VOIP which is very imporant in PR. Game is very difficult and its understandable that players ingame often dont want to spend their time for explaining something for you while they are playing unless you ask very politely, because so many other newbies have asked same questions so many times before. You can also practice difficult tasks such as flying in training servers, admins dont like it if you try to practice your flying in playing servers.

Play in a training server after u have read the manual and understand it. Get a microphone because VOIP is pretty crucial. Once you've had a little play on training join a server, join a squad and listen and learn. Tell the SL that you are new to PR and that you might need help. On your first game do exactly as you are told and under no circumstances argue back. People will want to teach you if you are polite and if u listen

Welcome to the community.
Reading the manual is a must. After you read that you can hop on a server just don't try anything other than infantry work until you've had a chance to practice on a training server with the vehicles. If you have a mic use it, if you don't have a one it would greatly enhance your experience if you bought one. You can add me on xfire if you have questions so you don't have to bother your squad leaders, as they might not be willing to deal with your questions.

That's good to hear. There's a fair few people around here that are prejudice towards new players but thankfully the majority are a fun, helpfull bunch.zarkey wrote:...stumble upon some websites n forums talking about PR and the ppl in it..mature and respectful to others..
My tip:
Don't get into any vehicles that Eddiereyes is driving.

if you get in a squad under non training , make sure you identify your self as a new player . as a squad leader im going to assume you know what your doing until you tell me. this way i can take more time with you in a squad.
its fun helping the new guys with the basics. The basics will make it possible for you to contribute to your squad (other than being a meat shield).
Being an effective squad member is the most fun you can have on here (better than going 20-1 as sniper)
but pr is a non stop learning curve. i started awhile ago and its amazing how much you learn in every single match.
also as you play you will find the squad leaders you mesh with and other you don't. don't be afraid to squad hop till you find the right one for you
well good luck and welcome

Thank your for all the advice...printed the manual for reading, installed all the
requiered v.0.87 core n level .exe
clicked "training" > "join internet" > "updating list" link in PR game window, so which one
should i join? coz there are several squads training server..afraid mistakenly enter wrong
training server.
Is it advisable for me to join "[TRAINING] Infantry Course" that i found in this forum here :
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f286-e ... se-11.html
I have no real army experience or that much experience in the game is there any thread for
ingame slang commonly used? and how to join squad?..hmm thats it for now..

Rudd_Medicman is an excellent SL for new players. Find him on TacticalGamer.com or Reality Teamwork. NOTE: For Reality Teamwork, you must have mumble setup and running. www.realityteamwork.com/mumble
And I suggest you catch up on the NSFW Hot Girls Thread in the off-topic section.

Welcome man, If your looking for some good players, you can find them all around these forums
Also, try playing in training mode to get used to the game before you engage in a real round

welcome! as others have said the Manual is probably a good place to start, but take in mind that it being explained in the manual is alot different from actually playing it. so give a glance through the manual and jump into a training server to try out the kits. then when you feel confident enough to start life as an infantryman in the game go for it
