Excuse me for the poor quality, but its just showing a little bit of whats inside. Plus I only spent 10min with it and I was recording with xfire :(

Anyways, keeping it Short Sweet and Simple without further Ado!

And yes! I'm shamelessly promoting our game in the attempts to get people interested in joining.

We felt this has been what PR has been missing in terms of vehicle battles.

13tanks,4jets, 5apcs, etc PER team (initially) then 9 tanks/9 apc's through out the game with no changes in other assets.

Plus spawn time has been decreased on lives and vehicles to keep the game rolling.
Anyone is invited provided that your with a clan or sign up as a guest.
That way we can take only the organize players in and have GREAT TEAM PLAY!!
Think of it as a training tool for huge organized matches.

Woah that's something you don't see in PR everyday. Would love to see a JDAM drop onto that mass of vehicles :)

That's one thing I'd like to see for a special event and all air to air map followed by a ground battle only (aircraft spawn but aren't replaced and vehicles spawn in at 20 minutes). Would be very interesting.

Well we almost had three jets up at once for the video but someone had screwed up controls and wrecked on takeoff. Luckily his jet exploded and vanished as I was behind him on the tarmac lol.

Those vehicles so close together could ruin a team if a Jet or Attack Helo comes over.

yeah I kept on meaning to do a kashan audit with this in mind, but these guys have beaten me too it really :P they could do it with some simple changes.

I guess I'll try and beat them to Qinling :D

Sounds like alot of fun! :)

Actually, CIA has modded files, for a scrimmage match versus chicago and others to do an all air and armor map, no infantry on Kashan, with vbf2 style spawning systems.

Never got to happen due to uploading issues, but we hope for it to happen.

We actually got it working, alot of other clans/members have gotten in and tested it.

Right now we are planning the event this Friday. So if anyone is interested-let us know :)

While working on some scenarios, we thought of that map.. not going to happen anytime soon.

Got some good clips with Jets and Helis taking off and some massive ground attacks so expect another video soon.

This is a very, very interesting experiment.

I was wondering all the time since I first got my hands on PR why a map of such kind has not been included into the game yet. I think that especially the twist of high heavy asset availibility, asymmetrical layout, and defined offensive/defensive nature of factions might be an interesting scenario to play with.

Since I am working on a map of this sort, it is of particular interest to me what experience You had with Your modified version of Kashan.

Taking for granted that You played this map with experienced players, could You elaborate on the following questions:

1) Was there any specific multi squad tank formations You have observed? Did these tank formations need any specific terrain?

2) What was a typical outcome of tank to tank battles? How long did they last? Where did they tank place? High ridgelines, sand-dune type of terrain..?

3) What was the influence of the air support on the battlefield, considering that tanks are the Kings of Kashan and a serious threat to helicopters and jets.

4) Did you use the original flag settings, or did You reduce the amout of flags to allow a more open game?

I would be happy if You would write down some observation regarding this type of asset distribution, its influence on gameplay, and whether this type of scenario is suitable to be used on a regular PR server or not.

We will gather a comprehensive report later on today during our Armor training maneuvers for you :)
(here are my thoughts)
But what I figured is that the teams assets, vehicles and kits, does not correctly correlates to the way the map is laid out.
For one NEEDs MORE ARMOR, too much open space and hardly any vehicles out there to play in is essentially a sandbox with not enough toys. Besides, half the time is spent walking around blown up.
Plus PR has been lacking in this type of game play.
If you want to have a dynamic battlefield, ie infantry and heavy assets working together, the bunker complex needs to be replaced with like a City in the center with the possibility of tunnel complexes.

(just my over inflated US 2pennies)

If you want, you can join us and have a look for yourself. The amount of armor and aircraft is pretty balanced for our roughshod job.

Well were doing our best here

I modded everything in the Gameplayobjects with a wordpad. Some guessing was involved and the first time around, there was an extra space in between a word so the whole thing CTD'd on entry and the server wouldnt even start when I tried Dedicated.

If you guys would like the map specifications, I'd be happy to write something up for you this weekend.

But off the top of my head:

2 Havoc's/Apache's
4 AA vehicles
2 TOWHUM/Spandrel
9 M1A1/T-72's
9 M2A2/BMP's
1 Eurocopter/AH-6
2 Command Trucks
