PR crahes after a while ingame
This is the first time I try to run PR on my new PC, but after a while ingame, the models start changing colors. I see things that shouldn't be in the picture, it's really messed up!
On my last PC I ran it nicely with no such problems, and the PC I have now is way better!
Running Windows XP pro
Intel Core 2 duo running @ 3,6 GHz
2x MSI GeForce 250 GTS 512MB
2x 2GB ram (don't have more than 3 since i'm running 32 bit though..)
I've also tried to run it with just one and with both GPU's, same thing happens..
I really need your help here!

Sound like video cards overheating since it happens after gaming for a while.
Good video card monitoring program is MSI Afterburner
You can also adjust fan speed in the program, and customize it to spin faster when reaches a certain temp.

Re: PR crahes after a while ingame
Thats no the problem, I play Crysis on gamer settings. The GPU's are around 80 degrees celsius with no problem. After a while of PR or BF2 the cards are about 50-55 degrees with the fans going pretty good to cool them. My GPU's have AA on Application-controlled, and it's not on in PR. Settings are high, which shouldn't be a problem with my specs.
And also when the models and shit changes colors and stuff appear which shouldn't be there, my computer totally crashes and I need to reboot.. I have the latest version of PR, and pathced to 1.41 since I got error with 1.50.
I really need help! Love this game, so I need it fixed asap -_-

I have heard people say that manually setting their userva works: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f358-s ... vista.html (See bottom of quote.) If you want, you can remove one stick of ram and run for a while like that. If PR doesn't crash, then set the userva.

That sound like hardware problem, check if there is new drivers available for your graphic card... if there is no new ones, you can try old ones, those are sometimes better and less buggy than new ones.. Also check your graphic card's manufacturer's website for FAQ and forums to find info. And ofc you can google if other ppl has same kind of problems with same type of graphic card.Dipsy wrote:Thats no the problem, I play Crysis on gamer settings. I see that I have installed it wrong, so I'm uninstalling everything now. If reinstalling it doesn't work, I'll check for newer GPU drivers. Thanks for help guys

Re: PR crahes after a while ingame
you should be using a download manager tool like FDM or uTorrent - they automatically check file integrity and are able to resume downloads incase something happend
make sure your 1.5 patch is not corrupted and double check your doing the installation by the guide step for step (link in my sig)
i am think you are having a version mix up there (like you actually have .856 installed not .86)
in any case a clean reinstall using the full core and level files is probably your best bet anyways (i.e. dont use the patch)

Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide
Got a common QUESTION? check here first: PR:BF2 FAQ, MUMBLE FAQ
"Hello, IT! ... Yes, have you tried turning it on and off again?"

Re: PR crahes after a while ingame
Thanks for your reply... i dont have 856 or 86 installed... I have the full 87 version! core and levels.. no patch for PR!
I will uninstall for the 5th time... Maybe i should re download the levels ?
Whats the exact size of the PR 87 CORE and LEVELS ?
