Hey there folks:
I just installed my new Radeon HD 4670.
The following drivers: 9-9_xp32_dd.exe.
AMD Sempron 2800, 1 GIG RAM.
I have all the updates installed.
BF2 works with all settings on high.
Project reality is having problems.
ON HIGH:
Project Reality hangs at map loading screen.
Pressing SQUAD ASSIGNMENT doesn't do anything but hang.
Sometimes it goes back to the menu and says that PunkbusterB not longer has a heartbeat (something along those lines).
ON MEDIUM:
On medium, the game loaded up after quite a bit of time.
Very bad lag and stuttering.
ON LOW:
Loaded up after quite a bit of time.
Barely any lag.
What is going on?

Whats the clock? That might be the issue.offmason wrote: AMD Sempron 2800, 1 GIG RAM.
Or perhaps video card overheating? Your PC ain't overclocked right?
PB Updated?
Project Reality maps are eXtremely more demanding. I lag on russian maps with a scope, for example.

Re: Videocard Problems
Doesn't BF2 support 4 gigs of RAM now after the 1.5 patch. Why do you only have one Gig!! G.SKILL makes great RAM at a fair price. Check out newegg.com for the best deals and financing options!

Are you absolutely sure about that statement? Because no way the HD 4670 runs at those speeds stock, or oc'ed. I think it wouldn't even work if it's core clock would be 165Mhz. Could you double check that again, please?offmason wrote: Radeon HD 4670

Re: Videocard Problems
Your cpu is on the low end for PR.
You could upgrade to a faster chip like this if your motherboard is 939 socket:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz 939 Pin OEM =$60.00US
Or even better:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2GHz X2 Dual-Core 939 Pin OEM =$70.00US
Whatever you do, get more ram as well.
If you can swing it:
2 gigs running XP
4 gigs running Vista
