Littlebird and BH Minigun

Post by Hoboknighter »

The deviation on the current minigun is wayyy to low. The miniguns on an attack littlebird can hit the same spot everytime they fire from a half kilometer out. The deviation needs to be turned up quite a bit on them for the distance firing.

I agree, and the minigun does have spread.

They need a higher ROF too.

They need the right sound too. CA has it right.

But the CA sound is also glitched to hell.

I'd be happy with increased deviation, but also to have it fire fast enough to completely cover the COF with lead.

I think he ment that deviation isnt needed on helicopters and other vehicles because they are mounted not being held by a person.

Meh, real miniguns have deviation. All weapons have deviation.

But you have to have realistic ROF if you want realistic COF.

Ive heard that, the higher ROF, the higher the accuracy. That means-miniguns are sickly acurate. I dont see the miniguns accuracy as beeing any problem.

why change what doesn't need changing? the Gatling gun has always been fairly accurate and the spread should be no larger than say 2m if it is implemented surely.

Sure the miniguns may or may not need fixing but i dunno what differense it should make when i assume that the miniguns on the blackhawks will be no more after the M240 is rebuild, the guns on the LB are a whole different story

They both definitely need more spread and perhaps a higher rate of fire. The mini-gun's on the little bird are way too accurate- and have too slow a rate of fire.

So conclusion is higher rate of fire and more spread.

I understand more spread is desirable from a gamepoint but is it realistic?

This video of a minigun on practice range looks like it has a small stream with little spread, a bit hard to tell though, judge for yourself.

It more complicated then that, You see the tracer's when they hit the ground they ricocheted around every where, now take in mind only say 1-7 bullet's are tracer's, the rest are normal, That mean's there is literally hundreds of round ricocheting . and any one standing any where near that would get torn to pieces.

We don't have ricocheting in game per say, the best we could do is increase the spread or splash to replicated the damage coursed in RL by it.

But seeming that LB and black hawk's have a life expectancy of 10 seconds in game, because' of the tecies. it not like where ever really given a good chance to use them.

First sentence: "the minigun deviation is way to low".

I think it's pretty obvious that he wants more deviation. And I'm not disagreeing, but I'm not agreeing either, from what I've seen the miniguns on blackhawks and LB's aren't that useful at the moment for some reason.

I'd like it if the M134 sounded a bit like this YouTube - Future Weapons Dillion M134 Minigun
Who knows, just my two cents.

Good answer, i didnt think of that. In that case i am all up for more deviation and higher ROF.
