Ok so ever since I installed 1.5 patch and the 0.87 patch, my PR experience has gone down the drain a little. But its still good, sadly my graphics are the next thing to hit me. Heres what i have.
Graphics: Nvidia GTX285 1GB (drivers not new but 186 i think)
OS: Vista 32bit SP1
RAM: 8GB DDR2 (i know 32bit doesnt support more than 4)
everything else shouldnt matter
everything on high except for textures, 1920x1200 res, AA 8x
So happened at first is my game would completely not start up after I updated to like 190 drivers so i uninstalled that and went back to the previous one. So pr can now load up but after playing for a while, the graphics would mess up where the ground is white, the sky is white or black, the buildings turn black all that. The people climbing a rope would appear 4 times the size of normal. Tanks would look like a turret in mid air and the body gone. Just alot of weird stuff. trees are orange.
I checked if my card was overheating and i cleaned out all the fan and it has sufficient cooling.
I really don't know what happening. Lately it has stopped but the sandbags don't render right, and no its not the super shiny metalic bug but its is dull and pail color. When i look at a distance things have jagged lines.
Lately i have also had similar problems with flashpoint... i am scared to install the new drivers for nvidia should i? help?
I need help, any ideas why graphics are messing up?

Have you done a complete re install of your drivers?
ie, go to
device manager>uninstall driver>reboot>use a driver cleaner - [drivercleanerdotnet]>reboot>install different driver>reboot
?
Installing over drivers, or not cleaning up old ones can cause problems.

Have you checked the 'tobacco bag' your rolling out of really is your 'tobacco bag' and not the 'wacky' one?

There is a issue with AA , turn it off to see if it helps.Snares wrote:You also want to make sure that in your Catalyst Control Panel, both anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering are set to "application-controlled."
