What can I do to stop lagging?

I am using my laptop wirelessly through a verizon fios connection. My ping still stays low, even though I'm connected wirelessly.

I am using a 4500 intel integrated graphics card, on very low setting. I know this is not a good graphics card, but I can play singles player with it on medium settings.
Even with very low settings and a good connection I still lag.
What can I do to reduce lag? I have no idea why I'm lagging.

I used to play on wifi it was terrible, since I'm on ethernet sooo much better/perfect.

I am far from a computer whizz, but have you tried a non wi fi connection?
