Breathing from running: Make it louder and occur earlier

I would like to suggest that PR devs consider making the heavy breathing noise start earlier then only at the end of a run

OR

Make the sound of running louder for enemy combatants to hear.

In the overall sound effects balance, I dont think there seems to be enough attention given to the sound given off by moving particulalry running in terms of giving away your position.

No one wants to hear the sounds of breathing over their game.

However, I do think that running noises should be louder. When moving through a forest slowly you might not make a lot of noise, but if you're running through the woods or down the street you will make a lot of noise. I'd love to be able to actually hear other soldiers moving, whereas now you can sprint past an enemy squad and remain undetected if they're just looking the other way.

yeah, making running louder to hear would be good. the only way you hear it now is if they're right close to you in a house or something. also the heavy breathing, i agree it should begin earlier, a little bit before the "stamina bar" runs out.

oohh yea, directional footsteps or somthing, that would be awsome, then you can hear somone around a corner or hear you guys bounding up. that would be nice

Tried with EAX enabled? Really improves on stuff like this.

I have XFI and it is set on ULTRA sound with EAX etc...but still, I would like to see this area revisited in terms of the amount of noise given off during a run.

Also, in regards to the comment about no one wants to hear the sound of breathing over their game I would say this.

If you are running in full gear and getting winded I think you would hear your gear, your footsteps, your helmet jostling on your head, and your breathing more than anything else. Right now, that effect is lost on the player and that "benefit" isnt bestowed to your opponent.

So i can know where are they going to appear to shot them

I hear them too but barely and only when they are very close by. You should hear it further away I think.

Regarding loud breath, I don't know because I don't even hear the footsteps because of the environment lol. In INS mode, it is impossible cause every 5 sec, you have a gunfight or an apc or an ied blow sound :) and the guy has to be very very close in order to hear clearly. In AAS, depends on the map (kozelsk, mestia, you can but you still hear heavy fire from far away).

My audio settings are maxed out for a better immersion but sometimes, can't even hear a simple footstep :)
