well, It kinda already been suggested I guess, tho I never found the thread

It's basic to me, It suck when the guy is right next to me and I can't talk to him, lots of the time, your squad is far away, and you team up with another squad to get to it, well, you should hear them talk! they are, after all, next to you! At least make a proximity voip, because it could become cacophonic I agree

Another IMPORTANT thing: Squad leader should be able to communicate between them via commander channel, it's a must! It would add so much to the game!

Actually, Squad leader channel is my main request in this post, but I must say proximity voip would be great too

Even tho it has been suggested, I feel more people should debate on that
Thank you

I mean, your title pretty much screams mumble. But, good argument nonetheless.

Ill Use this topic to post my idea; how ever Mumble is not the answer.

The commander uses an the command screen to speak to squads individually by clicking a perticular squad and then pressing 'b' by default to speak to that squad only.

My idea is this..

How hard would it be to code it in for Squad leaders to have that voip ability in to be able to click a squad in the map as the commander does and speak to that squad leader/ commander using 'V' as default.

Mumble is fine for a laugh, But theres never an arguement to suggest that all squad leaders change channel to the squad leaders channel on the few maps they choose to lead a squad, (make squad after 1:30, tab out change channel in mumble, tab in..) you may say to do that is not that difficult but most people dont bother with mumble at all unless its a specific server or event.

I think it would be a really useful tool if i.e you could jump in a huey on barracuda open map with 'caps lock' click huey squad and speak to the leader of that squad to say ''Id like to go to B1, but take the route around the north west edge as docks has AA''

you could relay enemy positions to near by squads and cordinate dual assaults/ flanks and convoys between armor..

Typing it up is fine for most situations but delivering that and other information is something I think would improve gameplay alot.

The in-game VOIP system is very, very hardcoded, and this suggestion has been made before. Lock.
