Project Reality doesn't work with Steam-bought BF2?

I bought the BF2 complete package the day before (From steam, since they were having it on sale), and I decided to install PR since I like realistic games (I'd bought BF2 for PR alone).

Long story short, I ran PR from the shortcut the installer put on desktop, and when I login to my account, it says that I haven't ran PR from it's executable. I take a look at the shortcut I used, nothing wrong there. I went to look at the FAQ, nothing there says anything about steam-bought versions.

I tried going into PR again, didn't work. I know for a fact that steam-versions of games are a little different from boxed versions and all, so I'd like to know if PR/any other BF2 mods do work with the steam-version of BF2 and if it doesn't, is there a fix?

It will work from 0.9 , for now use the fix

you claimed it would work with .9.... so we kept using the fix.

It seem that now with the latest update even the old fix doesn't work.
