Looking good. What optic are you going to put on it?

Did Katarn give you permission to edit the model? Just asking, no bad intention.

Why does it have rails? The weapon would be so much better if you had to bring it to a gun smith to mount a scope on it.

A compromise between light weight and eye relief. Now there are LaRue SPR scope mounts that solve the problem.

Some info to help you along matty
Update- according to one source, the new USMC issue optic for the Mk-12 is not the TS-30A2, but the Leupold Mk 4 M2 MRT 2.5 to 8x magnification with 36m objective lens and illuminated mil-dot reticle. And that fits with the close-up pictures I've seen. I will get more refs of that for the USMC version. :)

I don't want to in-link images from the manufacturer's site.

Okay, both are Leupold scopes, so they are at least the same brand.

The one in use for the M14 in US Army service is the Leupold Mark 4 LRT M3 with a 40mm objective lens, and 3.5 to 10x variable magnification and a mil dot reticle. I'm not sure if this is the one modeled on the current M14 or not (the M21 designation is outmoded).

The setup used on the Mk-12 Mod 1 in USSOCOM is the TS-30A2 (Leupold Mark 4 MRT M3 with 36mm objective lens and 3 to 9x variable magnification and illuminated mil dot reticle). You can even see the "TS-30A2" under "Leupold" on the left adjustment knob of the scope in the pics of the USSOCOM variants.

This scope was used on the SAM-R produced for II MEF, but in the pics of the USMC Mk-12 Mod 1, the "TS-30A2" mark is absent from the left adjustment knob; so I'm not sure what model it is. The USMC confirms that the objective lens for their model is 36mm when they solicit for an anti-reflective device for their Mk-12, so it probably is the TS-30A2, but maybe the numbers aren't printed on it in later versions?

My references here

I included a couple of high res pics of the "non USMC" version because they had good shots of the bipod. Hope they help!
Also don't worry too much about modelling a Harris Bipod since we have one in-house that we pretty much use on all the weapons that need them anyway.

I'm not sure what program your using to edit it but I know using blender you can put an image in the background to base your design off of. I see yours is missing a few components.
See if you can use this to help

I don't see what hes missing thats in that picture. Plus what you posted is a picture of what happens to be a M16A4 (as in the image link).
