This is more of a "let you know its there" post.
I Know that the PR2 team plan to use C4 as it's gaming engine. But I wonder if they have seen or know that the "Unreal Engine 3" is now free to use (there is some Licensing to look at for commercial release of the end product stuff).

UDK - Unreal Development Kit - Epic Games
I Am sure most of you here have played a game that uses the "Unreal Engine 3". And it's never a bad thing really. And you can (I think) even have "PhysX".
Well. that's all. Just a heads up that it's there and that it must be worth a look even if you don't use it.

I mean we've discussed the Engine of choice to death. C4 has been chosen because of its low cost (Having UDK's free to use license) and being easy to use unlike the Unreal engine series.

Instead the license terms for this arrangement are US $99 (Ninety Nine US Dollars) up-front, and a 0% royalty on you or your company's first $5,000 (US) in UDK related revenue, and a 25% royalty on UDK related revenue above $5,000 (US). UDK related revenue includes, but is not limited to, monies earned from: sales, services, training, advertisements, sponsorships, endorsements, memberships, subscription fees, rentals and pay-to-play.
