Insurgents Requesting Kits From Caches

Post by -.-Maverick-.- »

Well the title says it all.

I think this would make the INS side more fun to play, and would make the kit system more organized. Now every lone wolf can come, take the RPG kit and waste it on nothing. However if you make the requestable kit system, similiar to the talibans in operation archer, lone wolfs wouldnt be able to waste kits anymore and I think that there would be more squad teamwork, ambushes and so on, if there are any bad sides that I may missed feel free to tell them to me. Feedback welcome.

Forcing teamwork onto people who do not want to use teamwork is not going to solve anything. People will jump through all the hoops you make for them, but it still won't change how they want to play the game.

I say reward the teamwork, don't punish the non-teamwork. Make using teamwork something attractive to players, not just a means to an end.

I don't absoutely support it, but I think It would be fair to allow a limited number of kits to be requested at cache locations. RPG, Grenadier, LAT, HAT, Officer, those and those only.

I would say just make the cell leader kit requestable. The point of the insurgents is that they have limited equipment, allowing more kits to be requestable would just make them more like BLUFOR. The only reason I think the cell leader kit should be available is because it's necessary to making the insurgent team work, and there are plenty of times when people get bumped to SL, either because their SL leaves, or a bunch of people join their squad after they have spawned.

cell leader is the only one that should be requestable. every insurgent has the option to use ieds so no need for more special kits.

Yes, I would like this too.

I think the only reason the INS can't request kits from their caches, is to show that they are more unorganized than the taliban.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in one of the last updates they changed the officer requesting restrictions so that squad leaders could request an officer kit even when they already have one or have already requested one earlier.(to avoid situations where you've lost your kit and cannot get another) I think the time limit between requesting is still there, but allowing requesting of the cell leader kit would give the insurgents an unlimited supply of cell leader kits.

When they had the grenade launcher AK, it was abused. Given the kit has 3 field dressings, I could see this exploit being abused as well.

I just checked, you can request an officer kit while already having an officer kit, but you have to wait between requests, like any limited kit. I tried it on the Taliban. It's not a problem for them since every kit has field dressings, but it would change insurgency if they had easy (although slow) access to kits with field dressings.

There's a little trick tho, you have to be holding an officer kit you requested. Not one from when you spawned. But, when you spawn as an officer, you can switch kits and then reqest one, and go from there.

The sad truth is no kit is safe, if one (combatant) insurgent kit gets field dressings, they might as well all get them. Or you'll have people doing these exploits because it really is a huge advantage.

i think the insurgents can request officer,HAT (3 RPGs with no gun),medic(civi),PKM (AR request or random select between RPK and PKM) and sniper (SVD and only one allowd unless kit pickups at main allow 2 or 3 or even the lee enfeild sniper whitch makes the the SVD go to the marksman request) but i think all the kits should have the same kits as the origanal pick up kits

I support this, but more because I can look at the PKM, I can stand directly over the PKM, I can make sure that there are no other kits in my field of view, and I still wind up with the fraking RPG. And if I put it down, it's wasted until it's cycled back into the cache.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.
