I searched the *** (lol) and I found nothing, so here it goes:
Alright, I was playing as taliban on Operation Archer with my clanmates and we were defending the castle. A huey drops off a crate and a squad on the tower. We then take out the squad and have a worthless crate sitting on top of the tower. Why can't everyone resupply off of a crate? In skirmish this is possible. I'm pretty sure a member of the Taliban would have NO problems getting ammo off of a U.S. supply crate.
Thanks,

Try to reload your AK with M16-ammo. Even if you have a hammer, it won't fit!

I'll bring forward (again) the suggestion that the weapon you have should only be reload-able off of the crate from that faction's weapon.-=shootmeplz=- wrote:Try to reload your AK with M16-ammo. Even if you have a hammer, it won't fit!
If you are American on Jabal, and you pick up an MEC kit (or viseversa), I don't think you should get ammo for the G3 from a supply crate that wouldn't have very much, if any, 7.62 NATO, seeing as your forces should be using 5.56 NATO. (Well, there would probably be some, but I doubt there would be 8 mags worth)
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Not Possible - Ammo dispensers don't know (or care) what weapon you have.mat552 wrote:I'll bring forward (again) the suggestion that the weapon you have should only be reload-able off of the crate from that faction's weapon.

I don't think any NATO standardized weapons use 7.62x39 or 5.45x39. Neither would you be able to operate any weapons that came with the crate.

All factions were able to reload from any crate before and it was removed for a reason, its not realistic to arm weapong whit bullets that dont belong in 'em

Again, I'm not a expert but I don't believe any country that has hostile ties with a NATO country would have trained with a NATO weapon. More specificially the AR-15 series, NATO weapons basically. Especially things like the AT4, SRAW, or a Stinger for one.
