Help for the CO

Post by chilean »

I was thinking and i was at the same time watching Black Hawk down and i saw how from the command post he could see from the choppers TV so i was woundering .

what about just leaving the Predator UAV drone as a 2nd option and use the TV from the Scouts helos LB or equivalent so it would be better for the Co he can see from up there i mean high altitude above 600mt so the crew inside the chopper wont be hit by any AA.
let the CO just by click in his command post to see like if he where inside of the chopper.

Or also let the Co see from a Helmet feed image like the SF has for Spec ops.

what about that? comment would be apreciated :)

Just a small idea for a big comunity.

PD: Is it posible to incorporate Chile as a nationality cause im using the Canada Flag.

Its could work the same way if a SL was in the co-pilot seat of the LB and relayed everything to CO. Commanding for coalition forces is really fun if you know how to do it and if at least 7/9 SL's listen to you.

hmmmm not a small idea but it is a good one, i don't think its hardcoded i'm pretty sure you could just attatch a missile to the bottem of LB's (i think this should be kept to LB's only as then they will be used more as scout heli's instead of 1337 attack helis when they get shot down) amke the missile invisible just like the UAV?
it would need limits:
- limited time use (not realistic but to stop over use and super pwnage)
- should be in black and white or sometihng like that or blue like on BHD so commander can't see as much as if he used UAV
- any others would be good
Also commander could just click caps lock and take away map so he can see images could be another down side

too much info, better to just have squads relay info to commander.

I agree with Ankyle, this might reduce the SL-CO communication. Still, commanders have a UAV. also, the stuff like Headcams might be :d rillserghardcoded.......

It's not hardcoded. Use the same concept from the copilot seat in vBF2 on the helicopter with their TV missiles. If you freecam and go to the co-pilot, it will actually change perspective from the copilot gunner to the missile itself.

But the trick is making the missile on one vehicle, be owned by another vehicle(in this case the command trailer/apc).

I am fully for this suggestion because:

1. I think it is another, useful and more exciting tool for the commander, thus creating another incentive for long-term, non-area-attack-only commanders.

2. This will actually increase the amount of teamwork with the commanders the squad leaders and the pilot manning the helicopter. Commanders will know PRECISELY what the squad leader is going on about and the Pilot of the LB/Blackhawk/Recon-helo will have to navigate by negotiating enemy advances/actions and what his team requires.

The CO-SL com is allready reduce cause the CO doesnt how precily what the squad is doing.

So having this will be able to relay info for the SL cause the UAV in my opinion doesnt work well in some maps cause of the FOg so i prefer having an unlimited time view from one of my helos than just sitting there watching how the UAV moves slow and you cant make it hover to see strait there. but having this Recon helo like a LB with miniguns. gives you an advantage cause you can see whats hapening there and gives accurated information.

Well the CO has to realy info to the SL , in some causes the SL gives info to the CO but i prefer giving them accurate info than they giving me Suppositions about the enemy position.

Thats why i think having this recon helo gives the CO an advantage.. like in real life

NO for the limited time use!

It should be always available, if the LB was up. When the LB is up, that makes it a truly important asset and it'll matter if it dies. If it's shot down.. oh well, you've lost your camera.

If it stays up, Camera = Yay!

Should only be available for US, GB, CH, and MEC.

.. Unless Russian helos were introduced..

*cough*

That is an excellent idea, but I smell hardcodedness.

it would certainly be an aweosme feature if implemented, maybe if they included different types of arty as well that would cool like more than one type of arty per map like spread out and tighter but thats probs hardcodded

Littlebirds, Hueys, and other light helicopters have FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) cameras for their copilots. All you have to do is just push '2' when in the copilot's seat. The camera can zoom by pushing 'c' when in it.

What the proposal indicates is giving the ability to view this camera inside the Command Post so a commander can use a scoutbird as just that, a scoutbird.

Exactly so it would matters what hapends to the LB in most of the maps in insurgents. The LB pilots rush and rush and in one match they get shot down like 20 times so it would make the Scout helo would be use like it has to be used

well then the pilot are obv not trained well, those little birds are meant to fly high and dive down and attack with full force quick effective and very destructive once a cashe has been located little birds can be deadly

I say scrap the helicopter idea, I think headcams would be so much cooler if the CO can look through the SL's headcam.
