Fresh Install -> no Floor Textures (looks wallhack'ish)

Hey guys.

Got a brand new Win7 machine, whole install is just a few days old. I installed PR today and now have the problem that my floor textures are missing. On some maps, I have none at all (can look thru mountains etc.) and on some maps, it is just parts missing.

Tried to fix it with: Complete reinstall. Deleting Cache. Reinstalled maps. Nothing seems to work. Tried to run PR as admin, Win XP compatible mode with no visual effects.

What I noticed as well: If I start a local server, only Kashan and Qinjing maps are available.

Need help, this really sucks. Thanks in advance.

I can play once again. Switched the textures detail level back to Medium, this seems to be the solution. Probably the surface textures are simply not available in Hi Res?!

I got the same problem, also running Windows 7. I'll put the textures on medium and see what happens. cheers.

I play with all settings high on 64 bit Win7 and I have never experienced this issue. Looks like graphics card driver issue to me.

Im having this issue with Win7 on ATI 4770 current drivers

Turn off Aero and see if it helps. I have that problem every now and then too and turning off aero and restarting the game works.

To disable Aero, right click on desktop, click "personalize" and choose a non-aero theme. After you've stopped playing BF2, you can switch it back on.
