pr/bf2 crash

Hey guys

I recently got my mobo back from asus for repairs and when i go to run pr/bf2 it crashes 3 seconds into loading.

I click pr. Screen goes black, im back at desktop.
I click bf2, screen goes back, im back at desktop.

any idea?

reinstall would probbably fix it, that your best bet.

i just uninstall everything. PR , PR single player and bf2.

I just now finished installing bf2 and i still cant do any thing.

Make sure after you install BF2,you install the 1.50 patch,then after that install any mods..Also try running it in compatibility mode.It shouldn't be crashing like that..

After i uninstalled bf2 i rebooted.

when it booted i installed my bf2 deluxe edition.

i tried putting on 1.5 but it says it was already there, its probably since i chose not delete any folder after uninstall.

This may be a simple refresh rate error but i have no idea which folder contains the set refresh rate

ok so i once again uninstalled everything but this time around i selected the profiles and server config folders to be deleted which did the trick.

now i got another problem, i cant get 1.5 on it, keeps telling me a newer version is on it which is bs cause when i run bf2 it says v1.12.

ok i fixed everything, lol i solved my own thread.

on another note there needs to be a sticky for refresh rate issues.

im guessing this is the answer to my problem because when i checked regedit it said the current version was 1.4 so i am going to install the 1.41 patch then the 1.5 patch then PR. hopefully this works

I get the same deal, it launches, black screen for a few moments, and then CTD. I just reinstalled, patched to 1.50 and then installed PR.
