So. The post pretty much speaks for itself. I know it seems like the British Army would have a massive advantage, but if it's realism you're after, I'm sure there would be a way to nerf it...The whole platoon with the exception of the LMG (Light Machine Gun) gunners are armed with IW - SA80 (Individual Weapon).
All riflemen in the platoon carry a rifle grenade sight, which can be attached to the SA80. In combat each SA80 user is also issued with two 'Bullet Catcher' rifle grenades. This grenade is simply pushed onto the end of the barrel and an ordinary 5.56mm round fired into it. The grenade absorbs the bullet without damage and is projected towards the target up to 150m away.

Of course its posible , look at FH2 rifle grenades. It would be interensting to see that. But i wonder if it would be posible to give the insurgents something like that too, for the lee enfield 004.

Well, I'm glad you informed me of this. I was not aware of this at all in the past 10 years as an infantryman
You're thinking of the RGGS (or something like that, Smirnoff agrees) rifle grenade. Went out of service pre-2003. UGL is what replaced this and the 51mm mortar. Your quote is completely inaccurate.

Ahh right ok, I should probably double check my sources before I post
British Army - a5a07 - The Infantry - Platoon Organisation - Armed Forces
The quote was from that website. I wondered why I had never heard of these before. May aswell close this thread down, unless you would like to extend on Bazuls Lee Enfield idea.

Locked for being out of date, etc.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
