BF2 Issues

Hey guys I am having problems installing BF2. I have had both PR and BF2 working on this machine in the past. I have had several issues and I get to the point I give up for a while then come back and something else is always wrong. Now my current dilemma is when I try to install BF2. Nag screen comes up for the auto run I hit accept, then the little menu pops up in witch you have click install. When I click install the install starts but when the progress bar for the installation pops up everything closes. I have wiped all traces of ea and bf2 from my pc and I have set the auto run and the setup.exe to run in compatibility mode. I am using Vista 32.

Are you using a DVD or an .iso?

Why are you running it in compatibility mode?

DVD, I put it in compatibility mode just to see if that would fix it.

Fixed it, turns out my last uninstall wasn't compete enough. Though there was no form of data on my pc it was still in my add/remove programs list and the msi was being finicky.

Ok so now that I got bf2 installed and updated I have downloaded pr and installed and when I try to launch within seconds I get the pr.exe has stopped working error. I have reinstalled as admin and all my paths are correct. I love this mod but its **** like this that gets me pissed off and I just get to the point I'm ok not playing it. Please help.

Yeah, I can understand how frustrating it can get when you just want to play and there always seems to be another error message popping up.

Unfortunately I've never had that error message and the best I can do for you is point you towards this Sticky: Read This If You Have pr.exe problem.

Yeah I have read and read and read but no solutions seem to work for me, I know it worked in the past so I just reformatted and did a clean install. Almost done with everything and it should work, thank you so much for your help.
