Things have changed!

Post by BigEd88 »

I remember seeing that Project Reality received a mod of the year award, was glad that I played it so close to the beginning and always hoped it would expand.

No longer has the "Mini Mod" designation either :) That perked my interest but not enough to go through the hassle of downloading patches and getting my computer in gaming shape again.

Been playing console games mostly because it was easier, drop in a disk, play or let PlayStation update for me. Plus the hassle of drivers, getting my Saitek working etc. Plus haven't had time to really play any games in a serious fashion. Killzone 2 has been a good time, MW2 got old quick.

However I decided to install BF2 again to see if the game was still active. Remembered it was a pretty good balance of game mechanics and run and gun, commander was cool. But playing I was missing something, the PRMM that brought it up a level and made you think before you ran across the open.

So I followed my old bookmarks to the forum and have to say WOW lots of changes!

Not sure I'll have time play for a little bit but am looking forward to trying it out when I need my gaming fix.

This post might seem pointless but I know Dev's need an atta-boy once in a while and a good o' congratulations.

I've purchased BF2 3 times now. And you're crazy, if you think that's because I wanted to play BF2. A friend of mine has purchased it twice, for PR.

Heh, I'll soon* buy it once again, too. Lost the disc, and this is not the first important CD/DVD I've lost^^

*Whenever my computer arrives, which, since I ordered it over two months ago, might still take quite some time...

So uh, welcome back!
5 years... wow.

I too looked back at BF2 a few months ago to see how it was. PR has added so much to the game that I feel should be standard that its really hard to play. Glad you enjoyed BigEd88!

played last night for a short time, honestly seems more like a new game that happens to use the BF2 engine. Very different from what I remember.

You really have to know where your team mates are and where the enemy is coming from, very tempting to fill random figures with lead lol Not sure you could even try to play w/o the help of your squad.

I'll have to hook my joystick up at some point to relearn helicopter flight.

Rushn, it's been stated they are shooting before the end of the month for a release. And I just have had to get it so many times, because I have lost my key, and EA now charges you to give you your key, which used to just be displayed under your account info, on the EA website.

I have a single copy, complete collection version and it's the only original game I own. That being said, I keep it safe like my eyes.
