Re: MEC Storyline Intro and Part 1
It's for creative writing, right? Whoever reads this won't have an interest in strategic affairs? If they do, there are some fairly improbable things, given that this only takes place in two years.
Also, watch it if they have particularly left wing sympathies - talk of enemies of the free world forming secret alliances is absolutely impossible for some of them to comprehend ever.
(I actually had a university tutor who would not admit that Germany or Hitler were at any fault for WWII. Talk of them planning the war was nothing but right wing moral justification for an economic war to crush the middle and lower classes. The Allies provoked the war with disgusting, unprovoked and unjustifiable action over Poland. Maybe your teacher won't be a raving idiot, but it might be wise to err on the side of caution.)

Re: MEC Storyline Intro and Part 1
I agree with the whole no one wants to read about strategic affairs but there will be those who will be like well how did this take place... and i am trying to kinda have it somewhat realistic...yeah it most likely will not happen because in the long run NATO would dominate and it is suicide but it could and the left wing symps i am not trying to offend anyone but thinking that no one hates the western world and no1 is willing to form an alliance to combat them is somewhat arrogant but yes I do agree with you there will be those ppl who will think that this is totally far fetched lol but...later in the story i am going to basically suggest US, UK etc... have the air and sea.. they have won some battles on the ground and thats where I will lead up to the kashan desert map, than the USMC is moving in by sea for example muttrah city and asad khal... I am planning on the USMC invaded a city earlier and cleared a way for the US Army o land a tank company things like that... the story will end b4 the battles in PRTruism wrote:It's for creative writing, right? and the whole 2 yrs thing i was trying to emphasize that Iran has planned this since 2003-04 when the US invaded Iraq... maybe its not that clear but i will rewrite it thank you for pointing it out!!!
Thanks a lot for the feed back.

I dunno about other people with "left wing sympathies" but the idea of countries like Iran and Syria forming alliances to further destruction of the United States is not impossible for me to comprehend. I think it is a very real possibility, but I think the thing that pisses most conservatives off about liberals is that they tend to have less of a O shit were gonna die send in the army sort of attitude. That could be seen as weakness, or it could be seen as patience.Truism wrote:It's for creative writing, right? Whoever reads this won't have an interest in strategic affairs? But if your teacher is any good it shouldnt matter whether they are liberal or conservative. All that should matter is that it is creative and interesting, and I think your story has the makings of both those things.

meh. this thread has an unfortunate tendency to deviate into politics. The MEC does not exist, end of story.devildog279 wrote:I dunno about other people with "left wing sympathies" but the idea of countries like Iran and Syria forming alliances to further destruction of the United States is not impossible for me to comprehend. She was a card carrying Communist who would believe anything at all if it could be framed as rich people trying to exploit poor people.Shaihuluid wrote:woah, bad tutor. What was he, a neo-nazi?It's fashionable to have revisionist historical views, but seriously!
