Your files are probably corrupted. You should try and re-download using the better, more superior torrent so your modem doesn't get stuffed with 4 GB of files and forgets something. With torrents, it goes directly to the hard drive and everything will be fine.

If it gives you trouble to transfer the files it it not PR that is to blame. I had the problem myself but it seems to be happening with large files in general. Not sure if it is my OS or the router acting up but it's not PR.

If things do not get better I suggest you break the files up into smaller chunks and transfer those one at a time.

What OS are you using?

I have Win7, my brother tried to copy the files but he cannot because of gay Win7.... it happened with 874 as well.

Solution: zip the files to do the transfer, should work no problems then.

You guys act like you had to assemble the binary code yourselves and construct the entire mod by typing out 01010001000 etc ;)

If you want to play a DEMO for a game now, its usually 1-2gb.... and thats just a short demo. If you want to DL a game from steam its anywhere from 2-10gb....

No offense, but if downloading 3gb is such a painstaking ordeal, your in the wrong hobby ;)

I've been having all of the same problems you've been having, with the freezing and unresponsiveness and all that gay shit. I having the same speed issues trying to re-download this steaming pile. After reading on the forums for about 5 minutes, I can tell that even if I do get it downloaded, it's probably going to crash 100% of the time.

Great update, huh!? Glad they waited so long to get all of those bugs out.

Well, here's a suggestion, you get off your *** and go make a full blown game and come back and we can see how easy it is to install your game and play it. Or you can just keep quiet and try and appreciate the work the Devs put into this game and this release.

P.S. Don't forget to do this all for free!

Heh stop blaming the DEVs for you being a computer n00b. I was so wasted last nite I could barely stay awake, but guess one thing I didn't screw up and did in about 5m? That's right, installing 0.9.

I just spent 50 dollars on Steam to play a Beta that barely runs on my machine, is full of bugs and glitches, already has hackers, and doesn't even start up for a bunch of people. But you want to come here and bash the people who have just made you a great game FOR FREE. Unbelievable.

verify your file checksums before starting a new download.
If they match then the files are good and it's some other PEBKAC issue.

I downloaded the Torrent files, installed them directly over my old PR install and everything worked fine. There sure seem to be a lot of complainers for a game the dev's worked their collective tails off here. I personally am grateful that they put in so much hard work and will enjoy the shite out of this when I get the chance.

Yeah, I didn't have any problems installing it or transfering the files over my home network. Guess I'm lucky
