[0909] BF2 Memory dll crash on loading Dragon Fly

Completely unable to load Dragonfly.

The memory dll crash happens when I load to 100% and is verifying files, sometimes happens when loading objects (~13% load). Windows exception sound plays, error window shows up.

Running Win XP 32 on a Dell XPS 710.
Core 2 Extreme @ 2.93 2.93
3.0 GB RAM
GeForce 260GT w/ ~800 MB
All drivers updated.

Graphics settings in-game are all on high except for AA at off.

Yeah, been having the same issue too.

All the other maps work fine at decent framerates, with my meager 2 Gig ram, and dont seem to crash.

same bug with me. first time now, loading dragon fly.
2 gb ram , windows xp, amd 32+, x800xl.

same here. tried to load the map 5 times, all crashed to desktop with a memory error message. all other maps are memory-crash-free so far.

yep getting the same thing as well on Lashkar when i tried to load that. Only 2 maps that have really popped up that error for me.

Seems she eats your RAM for breakfast. Had to drop my setting drastically and turn off anything running in the background to just to load up.

I'm having the same problem, running XP too!

My specs:

Windows XP 32.
Intel Core 2
6700 @ 2.66ghz, 2.67ghz
2gb Ram
nVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX (512mb)

Running high on everything, AA 8(or is it 9)x
1600x1200

All maps works fine, without any lag (except for Fallujah west) but when I finish one map I crash on the loading screen on the next map. And for Dragon Fly I crash all the time unless I put "medium" on textures, which is ridicolous because I've played maps/games that probably are putting more pressure on my computer than the Dragon Fly map, with "high" on everything.

Texture to medium you should be fine. Had the same thing dropped down from high to medim on textures and it worked fine.

Dragon Fly has serious issues that are not normal, we are aware of it and trying to find the reason for the problems and hopefully a solution...

Happened to me too. Unable to make it to spawn menu or even load the map. crash to desktop and same error message. sometimes just ctd without message.

I really tried hard to load Silent Eagle, but BF2.exe СTD with error.
Looking forward for solution. I tired of that problem...

Exacly same problem with DragonFly. Also often CTD and/or losing server connection when next map loading. !H!E!L!P!

Hey guys, The fix for VISTA users is a valid one but this is not applicable to XP users .. i get LNK1104 error.. XP users will need a fix with memory allocation.. reducing graphics is a temporary and frankly weak fix, but it should work (dropping texture to medium might not be enough)
