multi-monitor setup

Currently I have a 2 monitor setup and was looking to expand to a 3rd one. I have at my disposal an old '97 sylvannia television set whose only output is a coaxial cable. I have an Nvidia 8500 GPU but im already using the 2 VGA inputs. I do have an open TV-OUT or S-video slot open on my video card and maybe an extra VGA slot open, though it isnt on my video card. So, could I run a coaxial-to-Svideo cable from my videocard to the TV and use it as a 3rd monitor? Would Nvidia even recognize such a monitor?

nvidia itself does not recognize it in the way that windows beeps and sais "new monitor detected" but you can route your image to s-video this will result in poor image quality on that monitor and windows asumes a resolution at 640x480 or 800x600 at most - even if you manage to get adapters to convert the s-video to composite you will probably not be able to read any thing on that monitor since its all so blurry - watching videos will however work ok (unless you are used to HD/full HD )

also i believe that a single nvidia card can only render for 2 outputs - so it will most likely shut off the 2nd vga once s-video is activated
you probably want to extend your desktop to 3 displays this will not work - unless you can set your card to render on 3 monitors right now (as i said s-video does not get recognized it just routes the signal there, no matter what)

fyi: i like to sit on the couch and toggle the desktop (main, not extended) from the TFT I use for games to the TV I watch Animes or DVDs at - but I am having a hard time trying to select the right item in a context menu because the text is so unreadable
