So, i got the game to work again and now I can't see the Target/Attack marker made by squad leader. I asked some people in game, and they said to uninstall 0.9..install 0.87 then install 0.9 again.
I was hoping if anybody could save me some time and show me how to fix it.

Did you try to press the left ALT button on your keyboard? Pressing it makes the markers disappear, pressing it again will make them appear again.
This is for when the marker itself is covering what you want to shoot, etc.
If you have tried this and you still don't see them, I wouldn't know how to fix your problem.
Edit: Also, there is no reason for you to be installing 0.87 and then 0.9, since 0.9 is a full new version, not a patch.
Installing 0.87 before installing 0.9 would not make any difference except it would take more time. (AFAIK)
