Hey guys,
one big problem and one cosmetical one. Let's start with the big problem:
System:
MSI P45 NEO2-FR
Intel Q9550
8GB RAM
NVidia GForce 9600GT 512mb
Creative XFi Titanium
Vista 64-bit
Since I play PR I have random bluescreens (I have to restart the PC) while loading the maps or just after spawning. In 0,8 it became playable (one bluescreen every fourth map), but with 0,9 it is a really problem again. Every mapchange is a bluescreen ATM (for some reason the first join into a server works)
-Punkbuster is up to date
-Drivers are up to date (even BIOS)
-System is stable, no problems with other (more ressource-intensive) games / stresstests show no problems
-textures on medium has no effect on it
-running in window still gives Bluescreens
-The XFi was bought AFTER I had played PR for the first three month with problems. I had used Onboard-Sound before.
I'm running out of ideas...help
And now a (hopefully) easy question:
I bought a new monitor some days ago with the resolution 1920*1080. Very good that BF2 has widescreen-support with 1.5, I could select this resolution in the graphics menu. But even after restarting PR the menu looks like before...4:3 and stretched. Also the Ingame-Map is stretched and the cursor and the Squad selection menu. I haven't measured the bodys yet; is everything in the game stretched, or are the Ingame-graphics in 16:9?
Greetings

Re: [Problem]Bluescreen and [Question]Widescreen
for bsods:
in audio settings select "Hardware" and set quality to "high" (not ultra/very high) - xfi cards are known to cause trouble - if that worked you should google for a bit more satisfying solution
for cosmetical issue:
i am not exactly sure if its neccessary but try appending "+widescreen 1" to your shortcut's target line
else there is a program called "widescreen fixer" not sure how up-to-date it is though - last i used it b4 1.5 patch
