Frosty breath on cold maps.

I know that in 2142 there was an effect where the players have frosty breath so you can actually see it. This really adds to the ambiance. Is this hard coded?

I'm not sure if its hardcoded, but I wouldn't want a drop of even 1 FPS for something I will only notice when nothing is happening tbh

Normally if its possible in BF2141 and isn't in BF2 already then its hardcoded no possible.

Though I don't know on this one.

i guess if you really wanted it make every weapon so that every lets say 2 seconds light gray smoky stuff comes out.
but then wouldn't this be whole new faction/s to add? or just different guns
anyway as i said my idea isn't very good because u might need new factions for it or it might only work when you spawn etc.
or you could make it an animation thats like the parachute and only applied on some maps?

I think this would be pretty hard to do because you need to code the **** and make the effect and all that stuff and would add a whole 2 seconds of uhm something every 5 hours of gameplay or it would make you go YAY they added a condensation effect and then never look at it again.

Hey all I'm saying is that every time I see it in 2142 it's badass, and probably isn't that hard to add, it would also work on many maps. Any DEV input?

Only one I can think of is Silent Eagle and then OGT as that seemed a bit chilly, but its not really needed if its just a single map.

Yeah, it looks nice and all, but I don't think we have many maps where it's 5 degrees (celsius) or less.

You could of course give it a go, see how far you can come, but I think it'll be pretty hard to do this? Don't think the PR Team will work on this, there's far more important stuff to be worked on :) .

Noones stopping you; but if you don't have experience then you'll probably start and then just give up as with most people.

Mmm making me want to play 2142, wish it had AAS, no-flag spawn, and multiple vehicle operator positions like PR though - Don't make me drag that thread back up lol.

uuuhmmmm.......... i dont see why its NOT possible :S lol it would be a nice little effect ahah yea i suppport the idea .. lool yea haha i dont know what to tell you yea like the tanks for instance they do have smoke effect the only issue i can see is when your running around sprinting the smoke coming out of the mouth will be differnt from what your body is actualy breathing :) lol ( suggest this for PR2) they can do what ever they want for that :D

Probably would possible but there isnt any map "cold" enough for it really.
